This is the first event in a series of Bioblitzes planned for this year. Following on from the vascular plant workshop led by Robin Walls last year, we aim to visit different areas of the Purbeck Heaths on a monthly basis. During these sessions, we will focus on some of our priority species, while also recording any notable vascular plants we encounter.
During this first Bioblitz, we will visit one or two sites where Viola lactea (Pale Dog-violet) is known to occur, but for which we currently lack recent records. As always, we will also keep an eye out for other interesting species in the area.
