This is the second gathering of the lichen group. The first few sessions will be mainly to familiarise ourselves with Cladonia lichens, as well as the specific key that we will be using.
For this session we plan to visit Slepe Heath. We will gather at the location provided and then explore the area looking for different lichens. Around lunch time we will then return to the RSPB office to key out our specimen.
Please bring following:
- Suitable clothing to be out in the field
- A hand lens
- Any lichen ID books
- Lunch and drink (there will be coffee & tea available in the office)
