Stag beetle survey

Come along to look for stag beetles and other summer evening wildlife.
We will walk from the car park area at Arne to the Froxen’s Copse area where there have been recent sightings of at least one stag beetle. We will be looking for stag beetles but hopefully we will also get to see other evening wildlife along the way.
The route will be approximately 3.6 miles. We will set off at 7.15pm and we should be back to the car park area for 10.15-10.30pm.
Please wear sturdy footwear as although we will be walking along paths the ground is uneven, insect repellent might be advisable and please bring a torch.
It is weather dependent as the best conditions for surveying for stag beetles are when it is 12°C or above, with no or only a very light wind.
