Following up our Waxcap (and other fungi) workshop and field training sessions, this event is part of a series of surveys covering some of the priority places for waxcaps in Purbeck. For those who have been joining any of our training events, but also for those who missed these but still like to learn about waxcaps, your help with any of these surveys is greatly appreciated. All of these days consist of a field visit  to one or more priority places for waxcaps in the Purbeck area, during which we will survey the area and collect specimen. The field visit will be followed up by an indoor session during which we identify the species making use of the waxcap key. Approximate times are as follows:

10.30 – 13.30: field visit

13.30 – 16.00: indoor session

This Thursday we will be surveying Langton Wallis Heath and potentially New Mills Heath (if time is sufficient). Both areas have not yet officially been surveyed for waxcaps before, and we therefore consider this survey as a baseline survey.  We will meet up at 10.30 on Soldiers Road at this location (https://w3w.co/doctor.bearable.insurance). If you have any questions about this survey, please do get in touch.

If you would like to join this event, please sign up making use of the form below. In case of any questions, please feel free to contact Jasper: jasper.iepema@naurualengland.org.uk.
