Tree Planting & project celebration

On Saturday the 22nd February we are holding an event in Studland, celebrating Purbeck’s Precious Past Veteran Tree Project.  The project finishes in March and this is a chance to celebrate all the project has achieved.
It will start at 10.30am in Studland Village Hall and will include a brief presentation along with a display and refreshments.  We will be planting trees grown from seeds and cuttings collected and grown during the project.  By coming along to help plant these trees you will be ensuring their local provenance remains in the landscape whilst increasing the diversity of trees, with all the benefits it provides for wildlife.  This will be within walking distance of the village hall.  The walk to the field is mainly along a pavement but the field where we are planting is likely to be wet & could be muddy so please wear sturdy footwear.
Don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions about this event or the project?
If you would like to come along please let me know so I have an idea of numbers and also so I can let you know anymore details nearer the time?
