Hi all,
Unfortunately, the weather doesn’t look very good for tomorrow morning with a ca. 70% change of rain and no sun. This doesn’t work very well for our methodology, as it is unlikely that we will see any of our invertebrate species in that kind of weather. Instead of doing the squares, I like to suggest a pale-dog violet count on Storborough Heath. Pale-Dog violet is one of our priority 1 species and we know it is currently flowering. A count would therefore be very valuable. There are also a couple of introduced marsh-club moss plants in the area, and I would also like to take the opportunity to see how they are doing after last-year’s introduction.
I to propose to meet at the following location: https://w3w.co/charge.enter.with (Slepe Heath) at 10.00. According to the forecast, we might not keep it completely dry, so please take your waterproofs with you.
If you no-longer wish to join tomorrow, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Jasper
